The Oakville Rock and Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks have made another trade. The Rock have sent forwards Shayne Adams and Patrick Corbett to the Kodiaks in exchange for lefty forward/transition player Jordan Critch. Oakville also gets back its 3rd round pick in the 2016 MSL draft, which KW had received in an earlier deal.
Adams is a 24-year-old lefty who had a solid junior career with the St. Catharines Athletics and scored 40 points as a rookie with Oakville last year. He has 5 goals and 6 assists in seven games this summer. Corbett, 23, a righty from the Burlington Chiefs Jr A program, had 23 points in 14 games with Oakville as a rookie last year. He was also a fairly regular faceoff man for the Rock.
Critch has 7 points in five games for KW this year after totalling 63 over the last two seasons with the Kodiaks. The 24-year-old is a three-time Minto Cup champion with the Orangeville Northmen and had an excellent rookie season in CLax in 2015, scoring 6 goals and 20 assists for 26 points in seven games.
