The Peterborough Lakers improved to 7-2 with a 13-8 road win over the Kitchener-Waterloo Kodiaks Sunday. Rookie Josh Currier had a hat trick and added an assist to pace the Lakers. Adam Jones had his second straight high-scoring game for Peterborough, scoring a goal and 5 assists. Shawn Evans also had a 6-point game with 2 goals and 4 helpers.
Peterborough led 5-2 after one period and were up 10-6 after the second on the Kodiaks, who were led by Joey Cupido's hat trick and an assist. KW falls to 3-6-1 and remains tied with the Brooklin Redmen for third place in MSL.
