Paul Stewart joins Brampton Exelsiors as head coach

The Brampton Major Excelsior Lacrosse Club is pleased to announce their new Head Coach Paul Stewart for the 2015 season.

Paul now lives in Oshawa but played Junior Lacrosse in Caledon, Mississauga, Orillia and Scarborough. He won a Founder’s Cup in Orillia in 1995.

He started his coaching career in the National Lacrosse League first as a scout for the Minnesota Swarm in 2006, then four years as an assistant coach with the New York Titans and Philadelphia Wings from 2007-10. In 2009-10 he was the offensive coordinator with the MLL Toronto Nationals winning the championship in 2009. Paul also has international experience as Head Coach of Ireland in the 2007 World Indoor Championship and the offensive coordinator for Team Canada’s field team in 2010. From 2011 to 2014, Paul coached Minor in Oshawa, assistant coach for the Pickering-Ajax Rock and the Brooklin Redmen in the MSL. In 2014 he was a member of the coaching staff for the Brooklin Redmen named coaches of the year by the Major Series Lacrosse.
