The Brampton Excelsiors have given the left side of their offence a boost with the addition of Mike Melnychenko and Dylan Goddard. In exchange, Brampton has sent veteran defender Mike Kirk to the KW Kodiaks.

Melnychenko joined the Kodiaks last year and got into only five games, scoring a pair of goals, as he dealt with a foot/ankle injury. This year he has 4 goals and 6 assists in four games. Goddard has played twice this year and scored 2 goals and 3 assists. He split last summer between KW and the Sr B St. Catharines Saints, scoring 17 points in 10 games with the Kodiaks and 40 points in 12 games in St Kitts. Goddard also posted 8 goals and 16 assists for 24 points with the Durham Turfdogs in CLax this winter.

Orangeville native Kirk has spent his entire Sr A career with Brampton, appearing in 139 games since 2005 and winning three Mann Cups with the team.
