Every time the Peterborough Lakers and Oakville Rock have played this year, the Lakers have won, and every time it's been thanks in large part to a single big run of goals. That pattern played out for the sixth time Wednesday night. Peterborough scored six straight goals from 7:56 of the first period to  4:55 of the second period en route to a 12-8 win over Oakville that gave them a 2-0 lead in the best of seven Major Series Lacrosse semifinals.

Shawn Evans was huge once again for the Lakers. He had 2 goals and 3 assists in that 6-goal run and totalled 5 goals and 3 assists for the game. Curtis Dickson added 3 goals and 3 assists and Adam Jones a goal and 4 assists for the Lakers. Jeremy Noble's hat trick led Oakville and Brendan Thenhaus added 2 goals.

Peterborough led 4-2 after the first period and extended their lead to 9-5 after two. Game 3 of the series goes Saturday in Oakville with a 7:30 pm start.
